VeryCapture Software License and Service Agreement

This agreement is a legal agreement between you (the "User") and the operator of the VeryCapture software (the "Software" or "VeryCapture") regarding the download, installation, and use of the Software. Please read and fully understand all the terms of this agreement carefully, especially the clauses that exempt or limit liability. Installing, copying, or otherwise using the Software signifies your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by all the terms of this agreement. If you do not agree to any of the terms herein, please do not install or use the Software.

1. About the Software

1.1 VeryCapture is a comprehensive, free screen capture tool that supports full-screen capture, rectangular capture, custom-shape capture, long screenshot (scrolling capture), screen recording, and GIF recording, with auxiliary features such as image text recognition (OCR) and translation. The Software is compatible with Windows 7 and later operating systems (including Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 11, etc.).

1.2 The Software is provided to users free of charge. The operator reserves the right to update, upgrade, modify, or discontinue certain services of the Software.

2. Account and Usage

2.1 The current version of VeryCapture does not require an account to use the core screenshot and screen recording features. If future versions introduce cloud storage, account sync, or similar features, corresponding account management rules will be established separately.

2.2 When using the Software, you shall comply with the applicable laws and regulations of your jurisdiction and shall not use the Software for any illegal activities, including but not limited to: capturing or distributing content involving pornography, violence, gambling, or terrorism; or infringing upon the privacy, portrait rights, intellectual property, or other lawful rights and interests of others.

2.3 You shall not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, crack, or attempt to obtain the source code of the Software, nor shall you create or distribute any illegal cracking tools related to the Software.

3. Features and Usage Guidelines

3.1 The core features of the Software include: screenshots (full-screen, rectangular, custom-area, and long screenshots), screen recording, GIF recording, image annotation, OCR text recognition, and translation. You may choose the relevant features according to your needs.

3.2 When using the OCR and translation features, the relevant text content may need to be processed through third-party services. The data processing rules for such scenarios are detailed in the Privacy Policy.

3.3 The Software provides an auto-start option; you may enable or disable this feature in the software settings as needed.

3.4 You acknowledge that when using the OCR feature to extract text from images, the recognition results may contain certain errors, and the operator does not guarantee the accuracy of recognition.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 The intellectual property rights of the VeryCapture software (including but not limited to icons, interface design, code, and algorithms contained in the Software) are owned by the operator and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and related international treaties.

4.2 The intellectual property of screenshots, screen recording files, and other content generated by you through the Software's features belongs to you or the original rights holder. You must ensure that such content does not infringe upon the lawful rights and interests of any third party. You shall independently bear all legal responsibility for your own use.

5. Disclaimer

5.1 The Software is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The operator does not guarantee that the Software is completely free of errors, defects, or interruptions, nor that it will meet all of your requirements.

5.2 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Software.

5.3 You understand that the use cases of screenshot software may involve sensitive information. You are responsible for the confidential management of your screenshot content, and the operator shall not be liable for information leakage caused by your own improper operation.

6. Amendment and Termination of the Agreement

6.1 The operator reserves the right to modify this agreement from time to time in accordance with changes in laws and regulations or business development needs. The amended agreement will be published on the official website or otherwise brought to your attention. If you do not agree to the amended terms, you should stop using the Software; continued use constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

6.2 If you breach this agreement, the operator has the right to suspend or terminate the provision of the Software services to you and reserves the right to pursue legal responsibility.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

7.1 The formation, execution, and interpretation of this agreement, as well as the resolution of disputes, shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.

7.2 Any dispute arising from or relating to this agreement shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation between the parties. If negotiation fails, either party has the right to submit the dispute to a people's court with jurisdiction over the operator's location.
